Producer Sean (of YG’s Jinusean) said about hoobaes Big Bang and 2NE1, “Instead giving them the label ‘idols,’ it’s better to call them extremely talented ‘artistes’ and kids.”
On August 16th, Sean will be appearing on MBS’s Entertainment Interview, during which he talks about his views on YG Entertainment’s Big Bang and 2NE1: “If we’re talking about any unique qualities of our company’s idol groups, it’s best and more reasonable to say that they’re just kids who really, sincerely love music.”
Sean said, “When compared to ‘idols,’ the regular audience that follows Big Bang and 2NE1 also tends to look at them as ‘artistes.’” “When talking about ‘idols,’ usually we just connect them to pretty faces and outer appearance, but recent idol groups all have a lot of talent. From the outer appearance to inner talent…”
Sean also says, “Ever since Big Bang was young, I’ve been watching them grow up. G-Dragon and Taeyang even more so, since they entered the company at a young age, when they were in 5th grade. Watching these kids grow up and mature, and now watching them become our country’s national representative group, and seeing their impression on others, there’s really a feeling of ‘if someone really has the talent and sincerity, there will always be people who acknowledge them,’ these kinds of thoughts.”
Sean adds, “When regular people their age would be playing, because these kids instead sacrificed all the things that they would have been able to experience and threw their whole heart and body into music, in the future they will definitely have good results.”

The concept photos to Big Bang GDragon’s first solo album ‘Heartbreaker’ has been revealed.
All this time, he has been spotted with different hairstyle – apply hair, mohican, bangs etc, and this time he is back with blonde hair.
YG Entertainment said, “GDragon, who has entered YG at the age of 13, has been producing and being a member of Big Bang all this time, and this is his first solo album in more than 10 years. There will be 10 songs in his solo album this time. And he will show music that is with GDragon’s colours and styles.”

[INFO] YG’s contradicting answers, “‘Heartbreaker’ purely GDragon’s work” vs “Collaborate producing with Swiss producer”
Group Big Bang GDragon has once again been entangled in the issues of plagiarism. He released a 30s preview to the title song ‘Heartbreaker’ to his first solo album to be released on 18th August on 11st August on me2day site.
The song was said to have plagiarised ‘Right Round’ by American hiphop singer Flo Rida released in February having sounded the same.
But what’s confusing now is that YG claims that the song is not purely produced by GDragon but is a collaboration work between GDragon and a Swiss producer.
Purely GDragon’s creation VS collaborate production work? Problem lies in YG’s contradicting answers
Initially YG’s refutation to the accusations to plagiarisms on 11th August was that “The song ‘Heartbreaker’ is not plagiarised work but purely GDragon’s works.” But on the 12th, YG’s explanations seems to have changed a little said, “GDragon’s solo album is like what has been so far, collaborate composition. Title song ‘Heartbreaker’ is a collaboration composition between GDragon and a Swiss producer.”
“For the production of GDragon’s solo album, there is a newly added producer to do lyrics and composing. When ‘Heartbreaker’ is revealed in full, accusations for plagiarisms will not stand.”
Many are curious as to why YG’s explanations to the issue changed in just 1 day. Media says that the reason why YG is doing so is to avoid more accusations of plagiarism that GDragon has been receiving so far.

[NEWS] DaeSung will not participate in ‘Shouting, actor Kang InYoung to take over role
With having to be receive treatment for 6 weeks after getting injured in a car accident, Big Bang DaeSung will not be able to perform for musical ‘Shouting’.
A press call was held on 12th August for the musical ‘Shouting’. And news have gone out that DaeSung will not be able to participate in the musical carrying the injuries with him. Initially DaeSung and SeungRi were double casted for the musical and there was not much problems to the musical participation. But now actor Kang InYoung will take over DaeSung’s role for the musical.
It is sad news for the musical staff especially since DaeSung and SeungRi have worked hard and practised together for the musical. From now, YG Entertainment will announced DaeSung’s scheduled activities accordingly to his health.
‘Shouting’ performances will take place from 12th till 23rd August in Seoul HanJeon Art Centre.

[NEWS] Hospitalised, DaeSung to need 6 weeks of treatment “Activities will have to be paused inevitably”
Big Bang DaeSung who has met with a car accident recently will need to be receiving 6 weeks of treatment and this will put a temporarily pause to his activities.
YG Entertainment said in a phone interview on 12th August, “He has came up to Seoul and got hospitalised at one of the hospitals. We are seeing that he may need up to 6 weeks of treatment. He has hurt his nose while he was young and this time he has hurt it again in the accident. Even though he has suffered a fracture, there is no need for him to undergo operation. The hospital said that he needs to rest for 4 weeks and go through the treatment naturally.”
DaeSung has met with a car accident on 11th August after the filming for SBS Family Outing has ended. He has met with the car accident in a highway tunnel at about 8.5opm.
With that DaeSung will also not be attending the press call for his upcoming musical ‘Shouting’.

[NEWS] Big Bang GDragon plagiarises with ‘Heartbreaker’? “It’s just a preview, please wait for the full song”
Big Bang GDragon’s solo title song ‘Heartbreaker’ has been said to have plagiarised other’s music.
GDragon released the preview to his solo album title song ‘Heartbreaker’ at about 5pm on 11th August which he has set to reveal on 12th initially, a 30seconds preview on me2day site.
The reason to releasing the previews were said to let fans know of some of the music to be included in his first solo album to be released on 18th August. But with the reveal of ‘Heartbreaker’ there has been debates that it plagiarises Flo Rida’s ‘Right Round’.
Netizens went, “Just 30 seconds revealed but it sounds exactly the same”, “Even though there are similarities, the melody is different” etc
With that YG Entertainment said, “Now we only revealed just 30 seconds to the song, it is ridiculous to call it plagiarism. ‘Heartbreaker’ did not plagiarise other’s music. Please look forward to the full song.”

[NEWS] With nasal bone injured, DaeSung will not participate for press call for ‘Shouting’
After breaking the news earlier about Big Bang's Daesung being injured in a car accident, it appears although his condition isn't that good right now, he's not in any serious danger at the moment. But definitely not fit for work.
According to YG Entertainment, "Big Bang's Daesung has suffered a nose fracture and this was the same part that he had injured when he was little. There's also some alignment problem with Daesung's spinal cord although that will clear up by itself in about 4 weeks time. Other that that, Daesung also suffered superficial injuries on his face and arms. His arm which was reported to be injured earlier on, was a non-issue after check-up."
YG explained what happened, "Daesung was on his way back home from the site of the filming location of Family Outing at around 4. While cruising along the highway near Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi province, there was a lot of water accumulated on the road because of heavy rain, which caused the vehicle to skid and crash onto the divider. Daesung was sitting beside the driver (his manager), while his coordinator sat behind."
Daesung's manager suffered superficial injuries on his hands and a leg injury and will receive further treatment in Seoul. The coordinator suffered severe bleeding on the leg but luckily there was no damage to the nerves, and will be fine after an operation. Daesung and his manager will return to Seoul for further treatment while the coordinator will go through an operation tonight because of her severe injuries.
YG Entertainment has announced that Daesung will require 4 - 6 weeks of recuperation time and will not be taking part in anything for the next month or so. He will also miss the Shouting musical which starts on 12th August (till 23rd), tomorrow. At this juncture, we wish Daesung, his manager and coordinator a speedy recovery.

[NEWS] Big Bang and 2NE1 to participate in Asia Song Festival with SuJu and SNSD
It has been known that Big Bang and 2NE1 will be participating in 2009 Song Festival.
Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange has revealed the 2nd line-up to the 6th Asia Song Festival on 11st August.
And for the 2nd line-up, it has been known that groups Big Bang and 2NE1 will be participating in the event. Other than that, Japanese popular group V6 and Hong Kong singer-actor Eken Zheng YiJian will also be participating in the event.
It was known that groups Super Junior and So Nyeo Shi Dae will be participating for the event when the 1st line-up was revealed earlier. And now 2 more Korean singer groups Big Bang and 2NE1 joins the list, representing Korea for the song festival.
2009 Asia Song Festival will be held on 19th September in Seoul WorldCup Stadium.

[NEWS] Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior and SHINee to release ‘09 Summer SMTown’ album
SMTown’s summer album ‘09 SUMMER SMTOWN’ will be released coming 14th August.
After 2 years since SM Town released their last summer album in 2007, they are back to release a new summer album. This time 3 teams from SM Entertainment has participated in the album – Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior and SHINee. And the title song will be ‘Seaside Resting Area’ and will altogether include 4 songs.
Other songs from the album will be ‘12.34′, a song with medium tempo, by Dong Bang Shin Ki, ‘Carnival’ by Super Junior first revealed during their Super Show II concert. Ann also powerful dance song ‘Scar’ by SHINee.
The album will be released on Melon, Dosirak, Soribada etc from 11th August. And the title song will be revealed first, then on 12th August ‘Scar’ will be revealed, ‘Carnival’ to be revealed on 13th and ‘12.34′ to be revealed on 14th August.
