[NEWS] Bigbang's Debut Event - Stampede of fans lead to cancellation of talk show

Korea's popular group Bigbang's Japan major/mainstream debut was on the 24th at the Tokyo Odaiba's Venus Port Church square.
There were more than 2000 fans in a place that only could hold up to about 400 people.
There were no limits in entering. In front of the stage, the buffer space collapsed.
Because of situation didn't change even after the promoter's warnings, the talk show had to be cancelled.

On the same day, because the fans wanted to see them on the day of their Japan major debut 'MY HEAVEN',
the place where Bigbang had their free event was chaotic.
The staffs put up a notice about this event three days in advanced only to the fan club members, however many fans gathered up from the morning of the day of this event.
Before they opened the event, there were a large and surprising number of fans that the promoter had not expected.

Later, they limited the amount of people entering; however there was a rush of fans that pushed the security guards away to go near the stage.
The promoter decided that this was too dangerous and cancelled the talk show that was planned.
The members only performed one song, 'MY HEAVEN'.

After the event, the members accepted the request for an interview.
All of them seemed surprise to see the enthusiastic Japanese fans.
The members commented-
"I was surprised that so many people came to our first event.
I'm very sorry that we had to get off the stage quickly." (SOL)
"I'm very sorry that we couldn't talk, but please look forward to next time." (D-LITE)
"It was a great boost for us because of all the support everyone gave us. I was so nervous that my throat got soar (Laugh)" (TOP)
"I got the feeling that 'I need to do this'" (VI)
"We'll show you the various sides of BIGBANG. We will not betray your hopes." (G-DRAGON)


Bigbang is planning to release their second single 'Gara Gara GO!!' on July 8.
On the same date they're continuing with a event to celebrate their Japan major debut at the outdoor concert hall at Tokyo's Yoyogi Park.
Right now, they have about 6,000 members in their fan club, and more than 10,000 members in their cell phone website.
