After a month without guest family members, the last being Chu Sung Hoon, Family Outing finally welcomed 2 new guest family members when it resumed filming in the form of actor Kim Min Joon and comedian Ji Sang Ryul.
The departure of Park Ye Jin, Lee Chun Hee and their replacements, Park Shi Yeon, Park Hae Jin have led to an absence of guest stars on Family Outing for the past month.
Filming for the new episode begun yesterday and has ended at the time of writing. Kim Min Joon was the original guest family member while Ji Sang Ryul only came in at the last minute as a replacement for Daesung. Because of his Japan promotions with Big Bang, Daesung had no choice but to skip the filming for Family Outing this time round because of scheduling conflicts. Daesung had already missed promotions with Big Bang in Japan once after he chose to film the farewell vacation episode with Park Ye Jin and Lee Chun Hee last month. It's not known if this scenario will be repeated in future.
That was not the end of the drama after Kim Min Joon hurt his ankle while doing a parachute jump. Although safety measures were employed beforehand, the sudden change in weather conditions resulted in Kim Min Joon injuring his ankle during landing. The production team immediately sent Kim Min Joon to a nearby hospital for treatment and it was nothing serious thanks to his sporty lifestyle. Although Kim Min Joon was asked to have a break, he insisted on completing the jump and managed to do it this time round. Kim Min Joon relied on painkillers throughout and the production team kept a close watch on him to make sure everything was fine until filming had ended.
Kim Min Joon's schedule is unlikely to be affected by his ankle injury as the filming for his drama Friend, Our Legend has already wrapped up production. Family Outing with Kim Min Joon and Ji Sang Ryul will be shown on 19th and 26th July.
